“I am not well” redux

Butchart Gardens, by me.

Lately I’ve been struggling with coming down from a bipolar high and dealing with all that comes along with that.

I don’t even need to write a new post about it – you can read this post from last November that pretty much sums it up.

But I also want to say that we must write when we are not well because, as Parkinson says, we need to look “right into the burst vessels of the thing…When we do see [our illness] in its rawness…who among us does not wince?”

I could also call this “Home for a Rest Redux” because I’m in exactly the same position I was when I wrote this post in May. Plus ça change, plus c’est la même chose.

Hoping for better days next week.

  1. That’s too bad, Sarah. Had so hoped that your marathon would have given you a kick in the right direction. Do take care of yourself, there WILL be better times ahead. And do remember: YOU ARE LOVED.
